I've bought the Veradek steel cube planters in the past and had wished there was a more durable version... on the steel planters, the paint scratches and the rigid insulation disintegrates once you repot/replant more than once. These new planters are a rigid plastic that feels more durable, and the double wall construction will help with insulation better than the old foam inserts. And they two drainage holes! The "base" of the soil is elevated off the ground more than the old planters too, hopefully improving drainage. The only question out there is whether the higher center of gravity will make these susceptible to toppling in high winds... we shall see! Over and geeked out.
