pure railing planter

We bought 4 of these for a gift for our daughter-in-law. They are made in Canada and very sturdy. We wanted something that could hang from a railing AND be self watering but found nothing. These planters were deep enough to install plastic pipe along the bottom sections, with a vertical pipe to feed this new water reservoir. The plan is to put landscape fabric and dirt on top of that, so watering can be less frequent. One catch: there were plastic baffles molded in the planter, from side to side, that we had to drill holes into (as well as the horizontal pipes we installed) for our idea of watering from the bottom to work. It would be nice if your company could make something that is "self-watering" without us having to do the retrofit.
