We bought three of these to replace some old wooden planters. I had been searching a long time for something that would be the right size and look, and not cost an arm and a leg. These look great, were easy to set up, and are exactly what we wanted. A classy and durable product.

The planter is designed with outer and inner planter with the outer box serves as a water reservoir for self watering purposes. However there is no holes for filling water into the outer planter. The drain holes of the inner box is raised above the bottom level of the planter making water trapped in the box unable to be drained properly, that’s another design mistake. It is a nice exterior design but with functional design deficiencies.

We understand that it was supposed to have the self-watering feature but fell short of your expectations. Because of a design change, we are no longer advertising this particular planter series as self-watering and should have taken this messaging off all of our product pages. Our product team is currently looking at other self-watering options which may come down the pipeline in the near future.
